ByaheGuide publishes practical driving information for Metro Manila — number coding schedules, toll and RFID guides, traffic enforcement explainers, and road guides. This page explains how we research, review, and correct what we publish.

How we research information

We prioritize official sources. For number coding rules, hours, suspensions, and fines, we check MMDA announcements first. For city-specific rules, we look to the relevant local government unit (LGU). For vehicle registration and licensing, we refer to the LTO. For toll and RFID information, we refer to the official toll operators (Autosweep, Easytrip) and expressway authorities.

We do not copy content from other websites. When we cite a rule, we describe it in our own words and link to the official source where one is available. If we cannot verify a claim against an official source, we say so on the page and advise readers to confirm with the relevant authority.

How often we review time-sensitive pages

Traffic rules change. Coding schedules get suspended during storms and holidays. Fine amounts get updated. New policies like NCAP evolve.

We review time-sensitive pages — coding schedules, fines, suspensions, NCAP, and RFID guides — on a regular basis, and we update the “Last updated” date at the top of each page when we do. If the MMDA or an LGU announces a change that affects our content, we aim to reflect it promptly.

That said, we are a small independent team, not a government agency. There may be a delay between an official announcement and our update. Always check the official source linked on each page before making decisions based on our guides.

How we handle corrections

If we publish something wrong, we fix it. When a correction is made to a factual claim — a fine amount, a coding hour, an exemption rule — we update the page content and the “Last updated” date. We do not silently edit; the updated date reflects when the page was last reviewed.

How to report outdated information

If you spot something outdated or incorrect on ByaheGuide, please tell us. Use the Contact page form and include:

  • The page URL where you found the issue
  • What is wrong or outdated
  • A link to the official source, if you have one

We read every report. If the correction is verified against an official source, we will update the page.

Independence disclosure

ByaheGuide is an independent guide. We are not affiliated with the LTO, MMDA, any local government unit, or any toll operator. We do not receive payment from government agencies for our coverage. Our goal is to give drivers clear, practical, accurate information — nothing more.
